Not the best picture but here are my 255/45/18 on the 18x8.5 rims. I know you rims are 17x8 but 255s will fit fine. 275s would fit, but they would run over the edge of the rims a little.

Hey Doobs...any additional pics of the 255/45/18? Thinking about making the switch also...

I run 275/40/17 drag radials at the strip, but would not recomend them for daily driving. For one it leaves waaaaay to much gap in the wheel well. 255/50/17 is the max I would go on the 8" wheel.

In the winter I run the stock size 235/55/17 snow tires.

In the Summer I run 255/45/18 on the factory 8.5" 18's

stanngg. I got a few pics of the 255/45/18's on the factory wheels.

The reason I'm on the fence is because my car isn't dropped, and it won't be. The stock rim/tires cover the wheel gap fine, anything with less diameter may open up too much wheel gap. I know its lame to be so concerned about that, but the look of the car means a lot to me.

235/55/17 is stock and covers well... 255/50/17 seems to be a concensus as a good choice in this thread, and will be ALMOST as thick diameter as the stock size. About 0.2" less in diameter. Shouldn't be noticeable in wheel gap... 255/45/17 or and especially 275/30-35/17 may be too much wheel gap for someone like me....

Thanks guys!! Would love to see more pics....

Thanks Stoenr....is that middle tire the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. That's the tire I'm thinking about going with. I used the calculator you sentand the 255/45/18 seems like the way to go. The difference in circumferenceis minimal.

The 1st four pics didn't work. Only the last one. The gap looks good on the last pic with the 255/45/18. Think you can repost the 1st 4 pics. I'd like to see the 255/45/18 next to the 235/50/18 comparison...

The pics work for me. I checked on another pc also just to make sure it wasnt because the pics were im my cache. I see them in my origional post, and your qoute.
Anyone else have a problem seing them?

Keep in mind I have installed roush rear springs only helping with the gap that was from the factory.
