FRPP Exhaust Help

I just finished installing my FRPP stingers and on the driver side the clamp will not hold tight. I have taken it off and re-tightened it multiple times but it still will not hold tight. Has anyone ever had this problem and if so what can I do to fix it?

Thanks

RE: FRPP Exhaust Help

I have the FRPP Stingers and had the clamp on the passenger side keep loosening over time and wouldn't stay tight. Go to any auto store and buy a 2 1/2" pipe clamp. Mine hasn't come loose since.

I should say that the clamp is tight but I am still able to move the exhaust as if it was not tight. I guess I didnt explain it well at first.

Thanks

did you maybe tighten it too tight and crush the pipe??

Possible, :( now you have me thinking that is probably what happened. How the heck do I fix that?

first... verify that being the problem. if this has happened, take it to a muffler shop and have them re-open the pipe. you could rent the tool from autozone or something, but the one they rent you is a "hand tool" style. the muffler shop will have a hydraulic one that will be much more accurate and precise. and they will probably only want $20 to do it if they charge you at all.

I'd still try the new clamp first. The supplied clamps aren't very good, IMO.

The OEM clamp are border line with tightness...
Some of the aftermarket are too big (not by much) and won't get everything tight.
You will collapse them all the way before the last squeeze required.
