I think that step is one that ford recomends when replacing LCA's but might not be needed

I just put the jackstands under the rear axle and it did fine (I'm more happy than I thought I would that I installed mine)(it feels better even when just driving normal)

in this write up you didnt put anything about having the relo brackets welded in. i thought that they had to be, is there something special about the bmr ones that they dont have to be welded?

From what I have read, welded is only required for drag racing. Not really needed for a DD.

My Q, if I load rear on ramps do I need to jack front up to keep car straight is if it were on the ground. I read that somewhere online.

Thanks,

Lol this thread was 2 years dead until you replied.... The relocation brackets can stay bolt on... But it is recommended to weld for more structural integrity...

Look at the bright side, I used my search button LOL. I just put them on, pretty simple. Which direction do you guys put your nipples? I put them upwards so the do not hit the ground and break off. Good/bad idea?

Ideally you want them pointed down... I'm pretty sure mine are just in case they need to be filled with grease for whatever reason... I may be wrong though.

I will grease once a year. The back is easy to get to still. The front will be easy to get to once I jack car up by the frame when the rear end drops

You should grease every other oil change according to BMR's instructions.

Just remember kid's, that angle is for drag racing or fast off the line, but for powering out of corners, you actually want a slight angle down the opposite way. I learned the hard way after my Chi Welded braces had to come off, as the road race shop laughed and explained the differences in set ups between drag and road racing. Erik
