Default how long b4 wax/wash???

Hey guys just pick the daughter up from progressive this morning and they did a great job. Replaced the front bumper and pulled the dent out of the fender. Paint looks awesome they replaced the driver side gt emblem(which wasn't damaged) and left me the old one they also left me a 1.5oz bottle of touch up paint. And they guarantee the repair as long as I keep the car. I'm not trying to make them look good just letting everyone know how good of a job they did just in case somebody hit your stang that has progressive and you don't know of a good shop. But anyway if anyone know how long should I wait before I wash and wax. The brochure says 7 days before I wash and 30 days before I wax. Just wanted to know if I should go by that or if longer is better or sooner my car is a dd so I want to wax/protect the finish ASAP. Thanks!

That is sound advice they gave you - 1 week before wash and 1 month before first wax. Let the paint cure properly.

I've had my 06 repainted various times and have been told a minimum of one month from a body shop, but the most common i've heard is 6 - 8 weeks.

My body shop told me 90 days for a full wash and wax, which means ill have to go all winter without a protective wax coat on my rear end... They also said that I should only gently hand wash it for the first 45 days while the paint fully cures

I've had my car out of the shop for around 90 days now ... getting ready to wax it soon .... dang Georgia drought keeps me from giving a good wash an clay bar before putting the wax on though .... since getting out of the shop I've kept it in the garage and haven't driven it in the rain so that helps ...
