Powershifting is holding the throttle flat to the floor during the shift.
WARNING: Use the following at your own risk. If you screw it up trans and/or engine damage may result.
1. Hold throttle flat on floor.
2. Preload shifter (with a pretty decent amount of force, as is you ar trying to change into the next gear without the clutch). You cant try to shift after you press the clutch or you will miss the gear.
3. When the clutch disengages the car will "pop" out of gear and into the next gear.
4. The ideal way to do the clutch pedal is to hit it at an angle so your shoe slips off the side just after the car pops into the next gear. However on this car I havnt been able to do this because of the spongy hydraulic clutch and the tranny beingg a little balky. So I have resorted to stabbing the clutch. Just think about kicking the pedal to the floor and back as fast as you can using the ball of your foot. Not a push, a stab. Likea punch delivered with your foot.
The clutchless shift you refer to above is not a good idea with a syncro street gearbox. However you can double clutch. But I dont usually bother with a sybcro box. When Im being kind to my gearbox in normal street use I slightly preload and clutch and it pops into neutral and as soon as the rpms drop it will fall into the next gear after the syncros have done there job and then let the clutch back out. You can do the same thing while blipping the throttle on downshifts.
