RE: iPod Hookup - What are my choices?
This unit works GREAT. You control everything from your radio, works with Shaker 1000. This guy has a 100% eBay rating and thousands of deals. This unit was easy to install and works great.

He also sells a setupfor IPod WITHXM radio... that's what I got

You get everything you need and can install this in about 45 minutes to an hour. Just route the wire to your glove compartment or console. IPod sits in there and you never have to touch it. It stays charged and all changes to select songs are done on the radio itself.

If you wanna try something cheap first, give one of these a try:
http://ilounge.pricegrabber.com/sear...h=transmitters
My wife and daughter each have one on their cars and they actually are pretty decent as far as FM transmitters go. If you don't like it'll you can unload it on Ebayquickly.
I haven't gotten my 07 GT yet (tomorrow!!!) can someone tell me if there is also a power outlet in the console along with the aux in? Hope so, I have this in my Mazda3 and use this adapter:
http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipo...auto-kit-ipod/
price is kinda high but it works great and connects to the bottom port (better!) of the iPod rather that then crappy headphone jack.
Btw, try iLounge.com for lots of great info on everything iPod.

There is a remote but it's a generic Alpine that doesn't afford for the ipod controls on this unit. You can only adjust volume and go forward/backward on songs. I wish there was one that integrated all the controls because I would def purchase it and find a way to mount on my steering wheel. With the way this thing selects/searches/plays music, I don't think a fully compatible remote exists.
The unit was ~$300 on ebay, another $200 for the hands free and I had my whole system installed at once which was $800 just in labor alone. I would think that you could get the unit professionally installed for about $100 or so.
The memory stick was ~$250 at newegg.com.

Couple more ?'s - does that receiver have a remote? How much was it? And how much was the 32GB memory stick?
Thanks!
