Yea, he's a big 'ole corn fed boy. Get's it from me. I was back there once cleaning the rear window and almost didn't get back out.

You must have a huge 4 year old. My 14 year old weighs 225# and rides back there all the time including a round trip to San Diego (2600 miles) and a round trip to Missouri (2000 miles).

My friends and I are pretty big guys (football players) and we've never had a problem except for space and we weigh (280+310+210+200) about 1000 pounds combined! Damm those backseats, way to small!

I don't think you'll have a prob...Just watch out for potholes and train tracks, or else your passengers will be cursing because the car will bottom out.
And I don't think the backseats on the coupes are all that small (at least, not for people who are sitting in the seats normally). I don't think I'd want anyone to take an extended road trip in the back seat, but for the trip to the mall, or out to dinner locally, or something like that? It's fine.
I had my gf, her sister, and her mom all packed into my car Sun. night and we went for a 30 mi. drive to one of the Indian casinos; my gf and her sister (who are 5'6" & 5'9" - dunno their weight and don't want to ask for fear of getting smacked) sat in the back and thought it was fairly comfortable. Then again, my gf's mom and I are relatively short, so the seats are pulled forward, thusly giving more leg room...
