Default 2007 Mustang GT Mod List: Critique

2007 Mustang GT (M5 3.55) Mod List: Critique Please!

Tuner: XCAL 3 from VMP
I am told the XCAL2 wont hold 3 tunes for a 2007.

Thermostat: Prestone 367-170
170F Thermostat.Better temperature control at the strip.

Exhaust: Zoomers Axle Back
Sound is subjective but if you have had an issue with the product or company please let me know.

CAI: VMP/C&L
Includes C&L Racer Tube, VMP 88mm MAF Housing, S&B Filter, Full Heat Shield

CMDP: Steeda Budget
The same as the old FRPP

Wheels and Tires: Factory 16 x 7 (2), Nitto NT555R 245/50R16 (2)
The idea is to use cheap used V6 Wheels and 25.6 Tires Improving effective gearing.
This would give me the equivelent of 3.75 Gears. Im hoping they can hook the less than 300 rwhp.
The 6800 rpm fuel cut of the VMP Tune shouldstill allow 3rd gear traps.

Thanks! Several people have claimed they have issues with the larger file sizes for the 2007 tunes.
The unit would only hold two tunes. I will check with Justin and see what he recommends.
The XCal3 is only $5 more but I think memory size is the primary difference.

There is a known problem about only holding 2 tunes for the 07 automatic i think. Otherwise the list is good. CAI/tune from a good tuner is the main thing!

Have a 2007 with three tunes and no issues. What about suspension mods to help put the power to the wheels

I would suggest doing the LCA with the UCA. You only need the panhard bar if you have lowered you car.

Okay. Id heard that the were notreally needed until the tires go stickier than Nittos.
So

1. Anti-Squat Brackets
2. UCA
3. LCA

That begs the question of which needs to be adjustable?
People usual suggest the UCA but Ive heard with the Anti-Squat Brackets
Adj LCA are sometimed needed to get the axle correctly located fore and aft in the wheelwell.

You will only need Anti squat brackets if you lower the car. The panhard bar might free you up a few pounds due to the stock one is loaded with beebee's. The aftermarket ones will TQ less to but none of this is critical.
You may not need adjustable LCA's most I know go with the solid (non-adjustable) LCA's less noise and better ride.
As for the tuner if there is only a $5 difference go with the XCAL 3, my xcal hold 3 tunes fine.
Kinda on the expensive side but you may wanna go with a Alum D/S....
