I'd just like to see a pic of the car all cleaned up and polished.

+1, not the ones posted where it's still in the garage and he hasn't cleaned out the interior. And maybe just a passing through post once in a while? Or a comment on a few posts here and there? It's really not to much to ask for someone who clearly benefited from this community to give a little back in gratitude. It's what any 'normal' mustang lover/restorer would do.

From what I understand, he didn't really ask for anything to be sent to him, it was initially suggested by someone else. To me, this does very much to rule out the possibility that he was running a 'scam', as some of you have suggested. He seemed very grateful for all that he got.
He is certainly not going to come back when people start aggressive threads like this.
Furthermore,I don't think he is obligated to; Donations do not make him an indentured servant!
People donated parts to his cause because they liked seeing him resuscitate the Lazarus mustang. Then he said his thank-yous. Life goes on.

Actually.... The most important part of an intricate scam is NEVER asking for anything. The goal is to get people to want to give you something and you do them a favor by accepting.

And he wasn't a 'kid', he was at least over 30, judging by his pic.

Anyways, I think it was a harmless scam and now hes gone.
I wish that would work for me.... haw haw haw....

I think I figured out why people are disappointed - they thought they made a friend. It's not about pictures or a thank you or whatever - it's about something far more valuable to people, friendship.

I started this thread and it was not intended to be aggressive. I just wanted to know if any one has heard from him lately. Also like p51mstg said, it's not about pictures or gratitude, it's about having friends or a common bondlike our Mustangs.

Ya'all are acting like some little bitches that should be on a Subaru forum or something. The guy never asked for anything...look up the definition of donation in Websters.

Like you never got what you wanted from a chick at the bar and "forgot" to call her back after you got what you wanted...

Hi 07 Stang,
I'm sorry I mischaracterized your intentions. I was refering to the majority of what was said within the thread.

Hey, all the crap I sent was just taking up room in the garage. It was out in the last yard sale with no takers. Still got a stock red hood. Anybody got a resto project that needs a hood?

And I've been off the forum for a month now...school too busy. Only 3 weeks left though!
