I oredered my mustang about three and a half weeks ago and I still havent heard from my dealership what my build date is. How long does it usually take to get a build date? It seems like things are going slower than they should be.

It does take a while. It won't hurt to call the dealer and see if they have an update.

They SHOULD (not saying taht they will) have the VIN by now. I ordered my 08 GT/CS vert on 9/14 and took delivery on 11/15. I was able to get updates of the build process of some great people over at blueovalforums dot com. There is a section called vehicle locator by Ford employees. These cool people take ther extra time and give you the info. Once a window sticker is available, they post it as a downloadable file. Make sure you read the "read this before posting" that they have. Good luck!!!

I ordered on 8/22 and still don't have my car.

It shipped the 12th, so hopefully I'll have it any day now. Thanksgiving is going to get in the way if it doesn't come by Wednesday. I expect to get it some time the week after Thanksgiving.

It's really frustrating. I ordered it in Aug. and will be lucky to have it before December. It's not like the Mustang is a limited production car. They sell thousands and thousands of them.

I ordered mine a few months ago and got mine a month after i ordered it ..Thats took delivery in 1 month I guess I got hooked up then ...Awesome but I still havent got to drive it but ive been steadly been modding it ... Im in iraq so will be home to play soon praying for no snow....

They definitely should have aVIN by now. Sometimes production of a particular car can be held up if there is a supply problem with a certain option - like back towards the begining of the year there was a shortage of the 18" polished wheels which delayed cars that had been ordered with them. Ask your dealer to check to make sure there are no holds on your car for some reason.

We ordered a GT in January '05 and got it mid September '05 as an '06 model. Granted things were more backed up in the beginning, but the wait is so worth it!

At the very least you should have a partial VIN I'd call the dealer on Monday.
