it might seem like a way to be original but since we have to look at it we advise you to NOT do it!
Just doesn't look right!

12' wide stripes seperated by 12" wide space will look a lot sillier than standard LeMans stripes over a hood scoop. I saw a guy with a yellow stang with 2 black 10" stripes set apart like 12" and it looked like it belonged in Tijuana.
That's good stuff. For a convertible, I think that
Foose-stripe look would be cool.

i had considered the foose and still might, but im back to the scoop being blank and looking unfinished.. i hate that..

but the foose over all is awesome design for stripes if you ask me..

maybe ill just drop 900 on a hood, painted, and then throw these on there..

............................. NOT..

i dunno.. but ya after thinking about it.. it really probably wouldnt look good

If you wanted to do stripes like that you would end up with a sort of modified Boss stripe look. Or even a Foose stripe. Those stylestripes only go on the hood and the fenders. Kind of like this...

OR like this maybe

I've thought of something like that myself because I love the look of racing stripes, but love my convertible too, and in a lot of cases those two things don't go that well together. But that second pic doesn't look bad at all (I wouldn't put the "BOSS", but my point is that there's classy ways of doing it.)

Maybe I'll talk Joolander into photocropping me one up....LOL....
Stripes on a vert actually look greatIMO. But to your point - "in a lot of cases those two things don't go that well together", I do agree also. Basically I think it comes down to the color scheme of the car, the stripes and the vert top. For me it wasn't so bad b/c I wanted black stripes on my Vista Blue (to stand out a bit from the usual choice of white) and my vert top is black. In that case, it helps brings things together a bit.
