Default wide, spread apart stripes...

hey guys..

just wondering if you knew of any pictures of stripes that were done like 12 inches wide, but spread about a foot apart.. basically to go around the scoop.. to get an idea of what im talking about, you know how the stripes went on the hoods of the sn95's..

something liek that.. bc i hate when theres stripes, and the hood scoop intefears, and isnt striped.. looks funky..

just a thought..

and also, would it be wierd to stripe just the hood and front bumper.. and thats it?

Never seen stripes for our cars that wide apart, but maybe if you went to a body shop or something like that I'm sure it wouldnt be a problem for them, and just a stripe on the hood and bumper sounds iffy, I'd have to see it, if anything I'd rather just put a stripe on the hood and not the bumper but then again I'd have to see it, I'd just go with stripes all the way down.

If you're gonna go that wide, I'd center the stripes above the fogs. And yes, hood and bumper stripes are weird without roof and back bumper, but hood stripes by themselves work

If you wanted to do stripes like that you would end up with a sort of modified Boss stripe look. Or even a Foose stripe. Those stylestripes only go on the hood and the fenders. Kind of like this...

OR like this maybe

12' wide stripes seperated by 12" wide space will look a lot sillier than standard LeMans stripes over a hood scoop. I saw a guy with a yellow stang with 2 black 10" stripes set apart like 12" and it looked like it belonged in Tijuana.

imo, and i mean imo, stripes with a gap wider than 2 inches look like pieces of crap that a 5 year old put on the fridge.

I've thought of something like that myself because I love the look of racing stripes, but love my convertible too, and in a lot of cases those two things don't go that well together. But that second pic doesn't look bad at all (I wouldn't put the "BOSS", but my point is that there's classy ways of doing it.)

Maybe I'll talk Joolander into photocropping me one up....LOL....
