I went from my stock ponys to my centerline draglights, and even with the fat tires on the rear, they weigh so much less than the ponys. When I was mounting them you could just pop them right up onto the studs whereas the ponys I would have to use my foot to assist. I think draglights look badass anyways, its up to you though. I dunno about draglights on newer mustangs though.

The other problem with all of these large diameter wheels is that you have a lot less sidewall. When you have a lot of horsepwer you need the sidewalls to flex when you are launching otherwise you'll never get it to hook. Look at the sidewalls on a drag car when it's lauching. They wrinkle. This is neccesary when you are trying to get a lot of power to the ground.
Also I agree that the extra weight of the larger wheel could add unprung wieght and that is never a good thing.
