Default Cant get steering shaft out?? Help.

Hey... installing shorties. Unbolted top and bottom of steering shaft. I can push it up and down but not enough to clear the mounting points to move it. Any suggestions....

What a speed bump, looks like ill have to extend this project to 3 days. Thanksgiving always getting in the way of things.

There are two 18 mm bolt for your steering rack. The bolt is on top. It slides forward and the steering rod will come right out.

The dumbass is still confused.

Slides forward? Heres my issue... The shaft goes up and down... So I unbolt the bottom and the top, but I cant slide it up or down because the other end from where im pushing is still caught.

Wow Im a mess, who else would have problems with a 2 bolt piece.

Yeah but it doesnt really show what to do with the steering shaft, except saying to unbolt it and remove it. I've unbolted it but theres no room to move it around the studs its mounted on.

I thought you knew what the steering rack was, sorry.

In case you haven't found it...followed the steering rod forward to the front of the car until it reaches what it's connected to. That's the steering rack.
