Default power for guages

If you are supposed to have a 12v switched power source for the guages and you are using the add a circuit ,which location in the fuse panel on the passenger side do you use? i've seen where it was said to use location 13 or 14 but looking at some pics on here where the add a circuit is installed it is in location 4 on the fuse paneland #4 is for power mirrors which is always on and #14 is the a/c cycle switch.

Default RE: power for guages

That pic is from when I installed my Raptor shift light. I originally had it in the number 4 position, as you noted and as the picture shows. However, I discovered that number 4, which is for the power mirrors, is hot constantly....(didn't figure the mirrors would be....[:@]) Anyway, I moved it to position 14, which as you noted is the AC cycle switch. As such, is is only hot when the ignition is on....Works fine for the Raptor. Additionally it is a 5 amp fuse, which is what I wanted....

Hope this helps,
Mike
