I have a V6 and plan on putting in a dual exhaust. Does that void the warranty?
Only if you try to make them fix the exhaust you put on the car. For a dealership to void a warranty claim they have to prove you modified that part or a part that directly affected it. For example, if you want them to fix a blown motor on a 2004 Cobra and they see you put a smaller pulley on the blower for more boost... you'll have to pay bcz the warranty will no longer cover it. Also... they cannot void your entire warranty bcz you modded one part. On that same Cobra in my example above they could not refuse to warranty a bad power window or radio.
Now, some dealers will try to bluff and intimidate you into believing otherwise, but ask for their boss and threaten to get a lawyer and they will usually straighten up.
