i think i might wanna grab a new one instead of going the "used" route. you guys know what the average going price is? i havent really decided between auto/manual yet.

i built a mustang gt on the ford website and came to around 27k... thats alittle more then i wanted to spend.

thats about what your gonna spend for a new GT, the used gt's from 05 are still selling for 23 or more in excelent condition with aroun 15k miles (mine)

I got mine loaded for 30,026, with 4,000 off sticker... I think some shipping was in there too so maybe 29,000... check in with a new 2007 since they are probably trying to make some room for the '08's...

In Texas there are virtually no '07s to be had. Tons of '08s though.

I looked into a used GT recently... I sawan '05for $16,000 with 50,000 miles, but it was an auto, which I didn't want. Other than that everything else has been between $20,000 and $25,000 depending on mileage. Either I'll wait a couple years for the refresh and get a new one or I'll go for the Camaro if I'm impressed enough with it.

I went to a car show last week, that was being sponsered by a dealership. They were having a sale on all 08 models. The GTs were going for about 26-27k, and the california specials were going for 28k.

It depends where you're located as well. In Michigan, a new GT runs 28-29k. There was a post on here a little while ago from a member in Florida and he said the same 08 GTs were running 25-26k.

Depends on where you go. Some dealerships around me are marking down their 07 gt's $2,000 plus you get an extra $1,000 dealer cash because they want to move them before winter comes in. Also if you know anyone who works for Ford you can get the A/Z plan, I used it when I got my 06 gt and it dropped the price from $27,500 to $24,000 something.

Okay, first e-mail all the dealers around you and tell them what you want. Tell them to give you their best quote and tell them you've emailed all the dealers and whoever givesyou the best deal wins.

Then, whoever gives you the best deal, go to that dealership and beat on it for an hour or so. If they don't budge, go to the nest lowest dealership and do the same.

I ordered my car from the factory the way I wanted it and the sticker was like $33,400. I wasn't going to pay that,so I got it for invoice (30k... and this was when the '07s had just come out!) by following the steps above. [8D]
