Default SOS guage pod

test fit the guages 2 1/16 autometer and to my surprise they fit like crap, the top bullet has a damn rivet head sticking out right near the front and I can't even get the guage in. The bottom one the guage goes in but there is way to much play in it. Maybe I just got a bad one but i'm right in the middle of installing these guages. I know on the loose one I can just wrap the guage with some electrical tape to get it to fit snug but what should I do about the one where the rivet is preventing thr guage from going in, I thought autometer guages were the prefered choice for sos.

P.S. I hate when **** like this happens

I was thinking of that but I don't know if that would cause it to come loose and swivel with only one rivet.

i had the same problem but with diff gauges.. i ended up wiht guages that stick about half inch out of the pod..

and i htink its becase there are two different 2 1/16 guage styles.. one that is shorter, and one that is longer.. mine where the longer style.. and thats why they didnt fit.. bc of the contour of the pod, and how it gets smaller...

good luck

When u say swivel... do u mean in the Pod? if so... you could always shim it with the soft side of a piece of velcro (SOS's prefered method)

No, they have 2 rivets in each pod holding them on if I grind one down a little to much and it comes out i'd only be left with one rivet holding that pod on which may cause it to move up or down on that pivot point from only being left with 1 rivet. Vertical movement

I'm confused... does the gauge have the rivet or the SOS pod? I didn't think the SOS pieces have rivets in the pods...

What guages do you have? And are you talking Dash Pods or Pillar Pods?
