A few things i learned today while test driving an 05
So this month has been flooded with 2005 Mustang at the dealership. At least 7 V6's and around 5 GT's. Insane, of course im the only person here that drives them.
Few points. First, automatic in a GT is junk! lol. first i thought it would be cool because i enjoyed the shifts in a V6. Very nice
Test drove a Black GT, red interior and Auto.... WOW i was very displeased.
Second thing i noticed. Last GT i drove a white. I powershifted it because i felt like it. Well, not only did i powershift it but it didnt bog on me like it usually does. First one i test drove i was going crazy with. but when ever i reached for the gear and banged the clutch it bog'd and died.
Third...today while driving the automatic, it got me thinking. I tried it in a V6 first one we got, i tried to do a brakestand. Put the brakes on, and layed on the gas... What happened? It stayed at 2k RPM's and didnt go anywhere. What a piece of **** right.... Well i put the brake on and layed on the gas in the GT, and WHAM! Smoke everywhere!
Conclusion.... FORD Must be re-writing the PCM software. The newer build date Mustangs have more power, can brake stand AND powershift!! Who would have Thought!!

So from the inside, where you don't have to consider the body style, what ya think ???
I got past the 1000 mile mark yesterday, power shifted my GT stick at redline, barked the back tires between 1-2, and moved pretty dam good for a non-SC, no mod. car.
I'm going to get in trouble with this toy, Oh YeaH !!

Haven't tried a tire fry'in take off from standstill, yet. Was going to do the puter flash first to defeat the drive by wire conrols. ???maybe I won't wait to try it anyway.
After I flash the puter, can it be set back to factory if I need warranty work ???

Im not sure what date but a TSB was produced and i havent checked the date, but it came out a lil while ago, because of the P035X check engine light code it puts out. Only fix is to reflash the PCM.
