Default First breakage on my car...

It had to happen sometime but I wish it wasn't something this annoying. The 2005+ Mustangs have auto up and down windows and the window actually lowers about a half an inch when you open the door and then raises back up when you close it. Today when I got out of my car and closed the door I noticed the window didn't go up, it was down a little farther than normal so I thought I had bumped the window switch. I got in and rolled it up and shut the door and it still didn't close all the way. WTF!!!! No I have to get out of the car, close the door, go around to the passenger side and roll the window up. This sucks, I have to try to get the car into the dealership sometime this week to get it fixed. They will probably try to blame it on my aftermarket exhaust...[/align]

there's something in the manual about recalibrating the windows, check that out before you take it anywhere.

From our manual;
Restoring the Express up functionality (Front windows only)
Under low battery power conditions, Express Up only functionality may
be lost. To reset this function after restoring full battery power, pull the
switch to the Express Up position, hold the switch until the glass
reaches the stall position and continue to hold for 2 seconds. Push the
window switch DOWN and operate the window to the full down position.
Express UP will now be functional.
Perform Express UP
re-calibration with door closed only. Calibrating with door open
will cause the window to continuously bounce back.

that's why they write them and give them to us when we buy the cars...........
