Has anyone tried to remove the steering wheel emblem? I am assuming it is only glued there but I am scared to try to remove it. I want to replace it with something custom.

Whatch out for the air bag lol. P.S. i crashed my other 06 mustang and yes they are glued after taking a close look at the air bag. LoL

most steering wheel emblems are designed to work with the air bag incase of deployment. if you mess with that, there is a chance that the air bag will not work properly when you need it the most. there was a car that came into the shop, that the owner of the car added a crome emblem the the airbag cover and t boned another car. the insurance company that was handling the claim would not cover his injury bill because the safety equipment of the wehicle was comprimised. good luck

i would think someone could make an emblem of choice that would just go over the factory one
