Did Vortech change the fuel pump? Guys used to say it would fail in the "Returnless" Fuel System these cars had.
Also the stock pump will support up to 8 psi at 6500 rpm at least with 39 psi injectors.
I dont know about with Vortechs FPU (If thats what they use).

No idea on the pump, but i'm gonna be running it for the time being.

Also, another heads up of incidental costs so far

3/8X18 NPT tap $26.87
Brakleen $3.27x2 = $6.54
Mobil 1 5w20 $5.99x6 = $35.94
Mobil 5000 $1.99x6 = $11.94 (going to run engine for 5 mins or so with this, then change oil & filter again--just to be sure )
Motorcraft FL820 $3.99x2 = $7.98
Motorcraft Coolant--gallon $6.87(my discount price)x2= $13.74
Motorcraft Mercon--quart $1.80(my price) $3.60
Red Locktite $4.99
Motorcraft Silicon $6.99
Catch Pan $7.99(needed a new one anyway)

Yeah, I know it----I'll change it after its installed & running(hopefully this saturday). Got a pile of stuff layin around ready to install---[:@]Just gotta get around to it. Will deff. post updates tho. Thinkin bout ordering the blue FoMoCo valve covers--think they'll match the blower connectors, injectors, etc.
