6 speed Transmission on a 4.6?

6 speed Transmission on a 4.6?
Is it possible? I currently have the 4.0 in my car, and I am debating on whether to upgrade to the 4.6 and get a Saleen Supercharger or just the 5.4. I know with the 5.4 their wouldn't be much of a problem but could it bolt up with the 4.6 and be fine? What would I have to change? I already am getting the 8.8 and the GT DriveShaft.

6 speed will bolt to the 4.6L. It was used on the 2003-2004 Cobra "Terminator" with the SC 4.6L DOHC.
It would make more sense to trade the V-6 for a GT with the 4.6L 3V rather than swap to the same engine and axle.
Your options if you keep the V-6 are Turbo, Magnacharger, or a Centri. VMP Tuning has some dynos on their site of these setups.
If you are determined to swap engines in the V-6 I would go Terminator or 5.4L DOHC from a Navigator. At the very least I would swap a 5.4L 3V from the F150 or Expedition.
I would do a lot of research into fitment, wiring harness, PCM, issues on whichever I decided on.

I would have loved to do a trade in, however, I decided against it since I've done alot of cosmetic things, and returning everything back to stop (i.e. the duals and whatnot), would be such a pain.

I only did cosmetic work and the exhaust work, which I'm pretty sure would work fine on the 4.6 (not so sure about the 5.4). I did absolutely no engine work and I want to get my car to atleast 450RWHP, so the 4.0 really won't cut it.
