Difference in 05, 06, 07, 08 gt's?
 

What are the differences in the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 GT's? Also, how does one tell if the car has the interior upgrade package?

Interior Upgrade Package Includes:

Leather Steering Wheel/Satin Spokes
Different Shifter
"Satin" Interior Door Handles
Different Gauges
Different Door Panels
Door Sills

basically the same, just minor changes.

the only difference is 07 cars are the best... but i own one so i guess my opinion is void.
the 08's have HID's and ambiant lighting available.

Leather seats, dash panel has a silver plating accross it instead of black. side by side, you can tell the difference, shaker 500/100.. look at the 'premium' model, and you'll see the difference. After looking at the premium model, i couldn't get any other. it's really cool!

Colors are different.
07 went to a tire sensor band
08 HID's, ambient lighting
05 New body
06 Pony package....

in 05 & 06 the cam covers , alternator, and ecu loacation.... 07-08 have less bolts for the cam covers.... and the alternator has a clutch on it i believe ... and i think maybe the ecu is located in a different spot.... oh and one more thing if it's a vert the top is made out of a different material...

Also, the 07 has the option of 3.55 gears. Previous years, they were standard.

It's optional on 2008's also, and they are more expensive for 2008.

The cooling system was modified on the 2007+ they have a different thermostat location and crossover.
Also some of the underhood sheet metal was modified to allow more room for the GT500 Engine.

Also contrary to popular opinion 2007's ARE NOT HEAVIER!

A 2005 GT Deluxe (Std 3.55) has a shipping weight of 3356 lb (3351 w/ Spoiler Delete).
A 2007 GT Deluxe (Opt 3.55) has a shipping weight of 3353 lb(3348 w/ Spoiler Delete).
