Wax your wheels?

Wax your wheels?
Do any of you guys that have the painted aluminum wheels wax your wheels? How did that work out? I've been toying with the idea of doing it, but I was afraid that I'd get too much white residue that would be hard to remove. But ICE doesn't have that problem.

RE: Wax your wheels?
If you want to wax your wheels properly, get a wax that is made for it. There are many out there but "PoorBoys" makes a great wheel sealant. Wheels are subjected to a lot of heat because of the brakes and most waxes will fail in short time.

What does that mean? Why does that mean they have to be waxed? I just clean the brake dust off mine, and they look perfect. I don't see how wax could make any difference because they just get coated in dust again after a couple od days of driving.
