Default C&L intake install question

OK
installed C&L intake and tune
it effin rocks its so much faster and it chirps into 2nd gear in an auto WOW
shifts harder when i floor it and i think my stock exhaust sounds better but in my just be my imagination

small question
the support bracket that bolts into the engine near the MAS sensor
C&L gave me a regular bolt looks nothing like the original? no rubber gasket
is it going to be OK
i was thinking of drilling out part of the bracket so i could use the original bolt or should i just leave it with new standard bolt

what do you guys think??

The bolt they sent you will be fine; many others have used it with no problems including myself. If you really don’t feel comfortable using it its not necessary to use the bracket, once again many have used it with out the bracket with no problems. Either way it will be fine.

I asked the same thing last week. Many don't bother with the bracket. I plan on installing it in the future, but no problems without it so far.

I cut a portion of the bracket out so I could simply loosen the cam cover bolt and then slide the bracket under the cam cover bolt.

Install a 4.30 gear. You will hit 3rd as hard or harder than 2nd!! And 1st and 2nd gear will be a total waste in street trim.
