are the shaker 500 and 1000 that different?
Yes, though they do have some things in common. They both break.
The shaker 500 shakes mildly, the side mirrors shake a little bit.
The shaker 1000 shakes violentley, dashboard, steering wheel, trunk, rear seatbelts, license plate, other stuff under the car that I can't figure out, and you can't see what's in the mirrors.
The shaker 1000 is for bass lovers that don't want to go through the hassle of putting an aftermarket stereo in.

I don't know that much about aftermarket audio... My friend has a hugealpine stereo in his civic (no, he's not a ricer)
It sounds really good.

I've seen premiums with cloth seats... both in the GT and V6.

Premium V-6s come with cloth seats(leather is an option), premium GTs have leather as standard. I wanted to know the differences too when I first was shopping for a GT back in '05. I'd never consider a GT without being premium or without the IUP, the interior looks too drab without these options IMO.

Premium is better. Mine was 29,600. Get the 500 and change everything in you stero and if you in cali I got a guy that does all of that tv's steros everthng. Stock sound sucks!!!!!

Couldn't take the speaker door panels with Shaker; could they have come up with an uglier speaker setup? Went deluxe, leather steering wheel - shifter pkg ($195); leather seating ($795). I had test driven a V6 to hear the CD and radio and it is terrific (and has the cool speed sensitive volume as well). Personally not a fan of the Premium's bright dash work, JMO.

x-plan: $24900
