It's a base GT 5speed. This is a good guy.. so I know it's real. I told him I would consider an auto too.. and that opened up my options. There is a white one for a grand less ($26,000 MSRP) that I might consider.
The first one he quoted was MSRP: $27,400...after rebates it's $22,750

None of these cars are on his lot though.. so he would have to have them delivered.. which is not ideal. I would really like to see the car first.

I have to say though.. the GT (I finally test drove one) really did not impress me. It was a manual (i have an auto).. and until I got on the highway.. I thought my car was more fun to drive. I told the guy this.. and let him drive my car after we got back.. He was more impressed with my tuned v6 than I was initially with the GT. The dealership is cool with my mods... and modding these cars in general.

I'm assuming that a tune from brenspeed would change that though.. id give back the throttle response and "torqueness" that I am used to.

Now I just have to convince my wife...

My mom was over when I got home.. and she quickly jumped on my side

My wife's main concern is that I would just do the same things to this car.. I didn't answer that question

I'll miss my exhaust though.. the GT was too quiet. Something a set of MACs would have to take car of after I tinted the windows.

I'm seriously thinking about the white...

Hope this works out.

Dude, not trying to start anything here, but I heard your sound clip of the single exhaust. To me, it sounds like those ricers in Too Fast Too Furious. The GT sound is tons better IMO.

If they will give you at least NADA Wholesale for your trade.

My 2007 GT-D w/ 3.55 (Only Option) was $24,700 - Rebate in July.
So if thats with a $2000 Rebate its a good price. If its $3000 they should be able to do better.
Thats without knowing the factory to dealer incentives on 2007 GT's.

Good deals happen sometimes. I would also see if you have a no haggle dealer (doesnt have to be Ford)
who will buy your trade after they make an offer on it even if you dont buy their car.
Understand this option will having you pay more in sales tax on the new car.
I got $18,000 for a 2005 F150 Supercab 2wd I paid $21,500 for 2 years ago (MSRP $29,500) using this option.

I'm not sure what appearance package is all about, but damn! I thought I got the best deal getting mine for 23k flat, but I guess not. Go for it, otherwise you'llregret it later on (just like me when I didn't get an S281 supercharged for 41k)

sounds right to me. i pur a new 07 gt for $22,099, sticker was $27,000.$3,200 in rebates. you just have to fig out your trade in, better off to sell on your own. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...Picture356.jpg

As far as I know, you can sign all the contracts in the world and agree to buy the car, but if you dont take delivery of the car, meaning drive it off the lot, it is not a deal. So if you buy it and its not what you were quoted (make sure its all in writing) dont drive away with it and have them tear up the contract. Look up he options and colors on other cars they have on the lot and if its what you want, go for it. It will be a good deal, but keep in mind, I dont think you can get the rebate and 0%, its one or the other. Just do it though.

We have not considered that yet.

You guys are making me a little worried about this though.. He acted like it was no big deal.. and they really want to move cars right now. It's been slow for them this month.

what are you getting on the v6 trade-in value?
it is a suspiciously good deal.

$22,750 for brand new 07, with no miles. Doesn't sound right to me..,.thinking something is up here. What is the window sticker on this one? Was the $22,750 spoke of in conjunction with trade talk, have to be careful there; will they actually sell it outright (no trade) for $22,750 w/o add'l add-ons the dealers like to pull on ya?

Well, it could be legit.
I got my '07 last November ordered from the factory (0 miles!) for exactly invoice minus the then current $500 Ford rebate. Cost me only $25K & change (!!), and I ordered a lot of options including auto ($995), leather seats ($also $995?), side airbags ($300 something), factory alarm ($300 something), sport appearance package with color accents ($400 something) and a few other less expensive goodies.
Unless I'm mistake, the factory rebate at the moment is at least $3000 (!!!), and so if that car is a manual and has cloth seats that would actually cost more than what I paid.
Anyway, go for it- you'll never regret having the GT...!

Auto on my sticker was $645.Leather was no additional chg but mine is a premo.

I don't have the window sticker handy, but I'm almost certain that my auto added an extra $995 (maybe they gave me a better auto tranny than yours? LOL).
I specifically didn't want the premium because I hated both the shiny uper dash strip and vent rings, and also didn't want either the skipper 500 or 1000. So I ordered the deluxe and added all the options that I did want, and added the 6 gauge cluster with memory center 2 weeks after my car arrived (it only came from the factory as part of the IUP).
Cost me slightly more that way, but I got it exactly the way I wanted it (including spoiler delete).

...as a former car salesman, I smell a bait-and-switch coming....

...but, I'd go for it and see if it's legit. If they try any monkey-business, you can always walk away.

A5 is a $645 Option on 2008's.

On the 2007's Ford was giving a "Free" A5 (in June). Dont know if they still are.
The Auto cars had an additional rebate equal to the MSRP of the Trans.
This is because the M5 cars were in short supply (number of days supply on lots compared to A5's).
