Default Retractable DVD in a 05+

Does anyone have one of these installed? I'm still on the fence, but not sure how it would fit and whether or not it would block the vents/*****. I like the double dins but really like the idea of having that spare compartment below the radio, the mustangs are lacking in storage already. Opinions?

How big is the screen? Doesn't look like it would cover anything. Could always turn the vent openings upward if the screen gets in the way

I had a Pioneer flip up and it blocked the buttons, but did not interfere with the vents. Because the mustang has a double opening, I had hoped I could install the deck on the bottom of the opening but I could not find a kit that allowed this, they all were for installation on the top. Would work much better if you could figure out how to install lower in the opening.

Well, take at this radio and the dash... I would think that it would be high enough to block the controls and part of the vents.

I know it isnt exactly the same, but I had one of those in my Tacoma and it did the same thing, would flip up and block the ac controls. Gets really annoying after a while. That and the chance the motor fails and wont lift or retract the screen sucks! The main problem with mine was that to see the settings and controls, the screen would have to be up. I would have given anything to have one of the double din screens they have now! That little junk tray doesnt hold all that much really anyway.

When I'm not trolling car forums, I hide my adam's apple while my boyfriend drills me hard from behind.

Double Din for sure. Way more functional, and it looks better, too
