Can so one send me pics of where the shelby hood pins go through the hood on the inside, since i have no intructions. I'm going blind on this? Thanks

Just install the brackets and pins with the hood up. Then after doing that, put something on the tips of the pins, like grease, wax, peanut butter... Then close the hood and it will transfere to the hood. Drill where it transferes to.

For future reference for anyone else who gets these. Apparently Shelby doesnt like to include installation instructions when they ship parts. Mine didn't come with any either. By the way, these instructions aren't the best. I'd use these in conjunction with the other post with details and photos, although some of it doesn't apply to the Shelby hood pin kit.

Beloware pictures of the Shelby hood pin kit installed. The brackets that hold the pins are L-shaped and bolt underneath the radiator cover. You cut a rectangular piece out of the radiator cover for the brackets to protrude from.

Did you drill through the hood yourself? I'm pretty nervous about doing that. Any pointers? I've got the radiator cover cut and the brackets installed, gotta go find some drill bits tomorrow to go through the drill...that or wait until next week and take it somewhere and have them drill it.

The dealer only charges a half hour for those. Id take it to them

I've already asked 2 dealers in town and they don't even do their own work. Plus one of the dealers said the person in town they would send it to would charge 1.5 hours of labor. So I'm doing some of the prep work (i.e. getting the brackets on and the radiator cover cut) and hopefully I can take it somewhere next week if I dont drill it myself. Why does it seem half of the Ford dealers are awesome and the other half suck completely?

it doesnt seem that way, thats how it is
one of my friends got his done at a local shop and it was pretty cheap cuz we had been in there a couple times and he does good work for us on everything so far, then one of my other friends we did his ourselves so i guess its just all a question of how comfotable you feel drilling two holes in your hood
