Default new grill is in

anyone who saw my post the other day knows i was having trouble getting that damn stock grill out, today i decided to try again and somehow, it just popped loose for me in about after only about 10min of fighting with it(but the bottom center clip did break, not like it matters), so heres soem pics, i dont have a stock pic to compared but im sure everyone knows what the stock PP grill looks like, i do have a comparison of the overlay grill i had originally, it looked alot better in the advertisement, and i didnt like it once i had it, so i went with a complete grill replacement with grill/pony delete, with an emblem that matches the side ones. what do yo think?

Move that pony emblem a little more to the side and it would look super.
Same spacing to the side as is at the top and bottom. Its too low and
too close to the middle of the grill side to side. IMHO

yea, i was thinking that myself..i put the bracket on before i even installed it because i was trying to get an idea of how it would look, then i kinda wasnt thinking and just left it on and put the pony over it, so now i have to pull the pony off and i guess replace the 3m tape?..im not sure if that stuff can be reused once its peeled off

I stuck and restuck mine a few times before I finally found the spot.
Its been on now for about 6 months and shows no signs of loosening.
I keep a back-up just in case it falls off.
If you do remove the grill to reposition it, you might consider painting
everything that can be seen thru it black like this:

actually..i dont know what the bracket you have looks like, but i could easily leave the pony on and loosen/tighten the bolts from the back, now that i got rid of the fogs theres tons mroe space to work behind that thing.

i was also thinking about painting everything behind the grill black, but i dunno if its really that big of a deal to bother with

edit: you edited to mention black paint as i was typing it

No bracket, just OEM 3M VHB tape. I placed the emblem so that the snout and tail landed on
parts of the honeycomb to ensure that the tape adhered to the grill with the most surface area.

removing the grill completly means its not a PP anymore and any V6 grill will work..or are you referring to that overlay?...its from v6mustangstuff.com the upper and lower are seperate, it looks good in the advertisement but i didnt like it once it was one, plus whoever made it obviously never looked at a PP grill upclose, none of the mounting points made sense, neither did the supplied hardware, plus the lower one didnt even come with mounting hardware. so i went ot home depot and bought 8, 2" toggle bolts, worked perfectly.

also is there any special kind of paint i should use on the parts behind the grill?

Yea I am talking about the overlay. I want to find one that is black. Or if one even exists that would be like the black spec-d but with the fog lights behind the grill. I do not want to try and build unless it is extremely easy.
