07 brakes questions opinions needed...
So I need some opinions...
I want to swap out the rotors, brakes, and brake lines.
1. I need to know where the best place is to buy the parts. It dosn't have to be name brand parts, decent quality is a must though.
2. Has anyone replaced these parts with aftermarket parts?
3. If so, how much for the parts, and where did you get them?
4. I also need some opinions on what color to paint the calipers...
Are these any good?
Thanks for your opinions

you know that the rotors are really just an appearance mod right? The pads are the real upgrade. The lines will provide better feel. What you have seems ok- but why does the brake line kit say 04-07?

I'm going to be running my car regularly on the track (road course) I had heard that the 197 brakes are fine initially but fade quickly under constant heavy use. I also didn't want to go with a complet upgrade yet. So I upgraded to stock size DBA slotted rotors to disapate the heat quicker. Stainless steel brake lines (which do more than just provide a better feel, they are less likely to crack under stress. For pads I went with Hawk HPS pads, lots of dust and a little noisier but huge improvement in stopping and feel. Super Blue Brake Fluid (more heat resistance) I topped the whole thing off with an Agent47 brake duct kit and a front lower grill with inlets for the ducts to supply more air for cooling to the front. I've had the car out twice since the upgradethe brakes have been awesome, no fade and consistant stoping distances. I got the rotors and the SS brake lines from Steeda, Agent47 stuff from agent47, my shop got the Hawks and brake fluid.

about the rotors disapating heat more efficiently...maybe slightly better than stock, but the difference is negligable.
Great thread about brakes
