Stock rim look.....or is it
Well I have an 07 GT with the stock "fanblade" rims. ILOVE the rims and im not to into after market rims, just my style. Anyway next summer when I go for Horsepower boost ...Im debating..... well actually seriously contemplating getting my stock rims widenedI found a place that will do it and my question is....has anyone here done such a thing and what is the widest tire I can fit under her, mini-tub's aren't out of the question but if I can get enough of a foot print on the groundwithout blowing off the tires on every gear shift then Ill pass on that idea. Atleast it will have the stock appearence from the side but from behind....baby's got back ! So has anyone here done this ?

There's a guy with a nice white stang on here that had his bullitts widened and painted white. I can't remember his name right now.
As far as fitting, you'd have to discuss that with the person doing the work, because your offset and backspacing will change when the rims are widened. I have heard that a 9.5 is as wide as you can do on the front, but again it depends on the offset.
EDIT: Just remembered! His name is Stanman!

I've seen a few guys use weldcraftwheels (http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/) and been very happy. I've seen pics of 11" wides on the car....

Geez guys,
9.5 is not the widest wheel that will fit on the front. Don't believe me? Ask Roush then how they fit 18x10 wheels all the way around on their cars?
You can easily run a 285 wide front tire on our cars provided you have the correct offset and the front is not dropped ridiculously low.
