You'll find that in the end all aftermarket options will satisfy you.

I LOVE my Hurst. Wish I had done it sooner....

I do believe the MGW is a cut above the rest, but it also costs more so you'll need to weigh the importance of it vs the money.

IMO Hurst is the best deal....

Agree. The MGW is a fantastic shifter, I'm sure. But the Hurst is great. It costs quite a bit less. It has the retro look I want, and has the notchiness, or "positive feedback" that I want. The MGW would be too smooth for me.

I wish i could test out each of them so i knew which one i could tell my dad to buy me for christmas.I like the look of the Hurst and dont mind it being too notchy, but it's my daily driver so i want it to be smooth which leads me to the MGW, ugh[:@]

Holy ****. It's a freaking shifter. Let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Anything to replace stock will be a huge improvement.

Ask for the Tri-Ax. It is extremely well-made, and you can always add the chrome stick and white ball.

Don't know about the Pro5.0 for the S197s.
I have Tremec on my old Cougar with the Hurst now...
I started with the Pro5.0 and it was simply a joke. Short throw my @ss.
Not much improvement on that trany...

I would love to try an 05 with that shifter, to see if it's the same BS.

Like my Hurst and it's short throws. Huge improvement over stock but I'll have an MGW soon. Getting tired of yanking on the hurst in traffic...
