face the facts. its still a cheap ford. you cant get a 300hp v8 at $25000 that runs 13's from anyone else. mine clunks and clanks also but if you want a car that doesnt for the same speed itll cost you ten thousand more.

I had a one-piece aluminum driveshaft installed and no more clunking!

Where did you buy yours? How much did it cost and how was the install? I mean its not a huge problem but it is an annoyance that I know can be fixed.

Mine only clunks when it's warm out or it's been on a long roadtrip and the drivetrain has had time to warm up. When it's cold out my commute is quiet; when it's warm it clunks like it's falling apart.

Seems there is a lot of lash in the drivetrain, apparently with a lot in the joint for the two piece driveshaft. The one piece driveshaft seems to fix it for a lot of people. The spydershaft is pretty popular.

As for the shifter, the bushings from steeda help immensly to reduce how vague the shifter feels.

Mike - I got the Steeda driveshaft, but you can get the Spydershaft for a lot less. Install was less than $100.

Thanks, I just saw the Steeda shaft and looks like the one I'll probably go with. Appreciate the feedback.
