Default RE: A manual in traffic

My current debate before I get a GT Vertis auto or manual. But here in DC, 90% of my driving is in traffic. My first manual spoiled me to no end. It was an '89 CRX Si. I have yet to drive a manual that good. I did have a '99 6 speed Vette, but ended up selling it because of the shifting. So, I think I answered my question with the Mustang. Besides, I have the motorcycles to ride when I feel like shifting.

I have drivenvehicles withmanual transmissions for manymore years than driving automatics.

Come on now...we bought our Ponys for the fun and adventure...the thrill of shifting...the awesome sound...if you are going to buy a Mustang with an automatic...you may as well buy and Oldsmobile[sm=forgetit.gif]!!!

My '02 GT had a heavy duty racing clutch. I must admit...it was sometimes a challenge in stop and go traffic...but...I wouldn't have traded it for an automatic. I really loved that car. We had some good times together...she got me into trouble a few times[sm=bustedsign.gif]!!!

I just traded it for an '08 PremiumGT Coupewith a 5-speed Hurst short throw. I will try to stay out of trouble with this one...but I make no promises[sm=grinangel.gif]!!!

I love the manual, traffic doesn't bother me even a little.
When given complete freedom of choice I'll pick a stick every time.
But I won't bash an auto, especially not the '05+.
That's as sweet a shifter as they make.
If I couldn't find the manual I wanted, or had a physical reason for not using a manual, I'd be more than happy with an auto.
