Default Satelite Radio

Ok I know for a fact that I am getting a satelite radio for christmas. I want to know how anybody has this mounted and there is no doubt no matter how much I dont want to put it in its going in. I was thinking about getting a gauge pod for the dash and addapting it to fit the head unit to make it fit in with the rest of the car. I was wondering how I could do this or how could I work this head unit into the car. If anybody has any pics please post them up

Which one are you getting..Sirius or XM?

I know both have different ways of mouting them, and you can also buy an adapter that plugs into your antenna..like the old cd changers did. It is called an FM modulator. Let me know..I know of a few ways to get it in there right...

Back when I had the add on XM receiver, this is the mounting configuration I used. Either completely hidden, or exposed for extended travel time.....

I have since replaced it with an aftermarket unit with XM built in....Much happier.....

mine came installed from the dealer. I can't help you technically but I'm sure you'll enjoy it. That is all.

I guess I don't understand exactly what you're trying to do...Are you getting an Add-on Satellite radio device that would use a tape deck adapter/FM modulator/line in connection to the head unit, or are you getting an entirely new head unit, and you're looking for a place to put the antenna for the satellite radio?

If you've got a new head unit, just replace the stock head unit and put the adapter for it somewhere behind the dash.

Sorry for taking so long to reply I havent gotten a chance to get on here. I guess it will be a Sirus System. I am not putting a new head unit just running the satelite unit into the factory stereo. What I am asking is what is a good way to blend the satelite display into the interior of the car. I was thinking about rigging up a way to use one of the gague pods that you put on your dash to hold the satelite unit. I am not set on this thought I am just looking for an idea about how to make it fit. I like how one of the pictures where run out of the dash. If you could could you give me some specifics on how you hooked it up
