so when i flick the right blinker it blinks really fast (everyone knows that means theres something wrong with it)

so i find out that the middle bulb does go on when i push the brakes or flick the blinker

this happened also a few days ago but fixed itself (i dunno how)

but now it happened again and isnt fixing itself

i figure the bulb is just loose

but i cant figure out how to get into the housinh to tighten, or replace if necessary, the bulb

any help is appreciated

ps, ive got the shaker 1000, i dunno if that makes things harder

Theres bolts behind the back panel in the trunk to get the whole lamp assembly out.

Caution

+1 -- just 3 bolts per tail lamp ... replace the bulb and problem solved... takes all but 10 minutes

Sounds like the Smart Junction Box may be having a issue. Has your car been out in the rain recently? If so check the passenger side floor board are for moisture on the carpet you may have the infamous water leak where it leaks into the SMJ

ok.....i didnt know there were 3 bolts per tail lamp....i though there were two....i cant see the third cuz of my skaer 1000 i guess?

that explains why i couldnt pull the assuembly out with two bolts gone

also, where is this sjb or whatever?

I just had the right side middle bulb go out too, had the dealer change it during an oil change since it's under warranty. They replaced the buld and it still didn't work. They sent it to the electrical guy to figure out why it wasn't working. They told me they had to do a sequence with the key and switch for it to work right. I thought that sounded a little crazy and didn't realy get any other explanation why it was required.
