Man, its been a while since one of these threads came around.
I'm pretty praticular about how I do it, 2 times a week in the good months and when every I can during the winter, it takes about 2 hours each time.

I don't have an S197, but hey...
I spend as much time as I need to be satisfied with the car. I usually devote about 30 min if it'spretty clean to begin with and up to an hour or more ifit's really dirty or I am doing more than just a wash (wax, detail, etc...). I never have and never will take it to an automatic car wash - I'm the only one who washes it.

All I do is use the Mr.Clean sprayer w/ now turtle car wash (did use armoral) (I need the softener or I get water spots)
plus a water filter connected right after the tap
and use a microfiber sponge
and armoral triple action wheel cleaner
first I rinse
then spray soapy water on the current section
next scrub with the microfiber
then spray with more soapy water
and rinse
next repeat on next section
then for the wheels
rinse
spray soapy water
rinse
spray
armoralwheel cleaner and wait 30 sec
scrub with microfiber
spray soapy water
rinse
then next wheel
