Default exhaust rattle

I put on a new set of gta's a little while ago and with the top is up i can here the h pipe rattle when i take off. I think the flows did the same thing. It seams to go away when the car warms up. We had to loosen the h pipe up to get the gta's to fit right. Every thing is tight hangers and all clamps but when i hit the mid pipe or tail pipe with the palm of my hand the whole system rattels a slight bit. any ideas.

There are a number of threads on this issue. I had a problem with the axleback clamp on the passengers side such that no matter how tight I made it I had a rattle around 1600-1800 RPM and the muffler would loosen up after about 1k-2k miles. I replaced the clamp that came with the axlebacks to a standard U-clamp from an auto store. No more problem.

I'd research it here on the forum, however. There are a few other "smoking guns" out there that are described as exhaust rattles.

I have the same problem...It doesn't do it as bad once the car has warmed up but produced a deep rattle which is to be expected moreso from a setup such as mine I guess with all that sound. I believe it to be the clamp as posted about. Im guessing its the a/b clamp.

Had the same problem when I installed my GTA's. After about an hour of looking, I found one of the rear bracket bolts was not tightened completely, causing the washer to vibrate. Its amazing how loud a little washer can be. Anyway, tighten the bolt up and all is now rattle free.
