Just spoke with Lowel at TCI Auto. He stated the official word is it is available after the 1st of the year....lets just hope its not like the B+M / hurst shifter and hope they meant the 1st of 08....because as I joked with him...is it the first of next year or just the first of any year...he chuckled and said I believe they did mean 08...LOL.... anyhow...he could not give a price quote either.

This shifter was unveiled at SEMA and has been posted and talked about since then. I love it and it will definitely be going in my car. When I talked to TCI, I got 1/8/08 as a release date when they first showed it. -Joe

It's the release lever that takes the shifter out of "ratchet" mode. I had a B&M Star
shifter....same deal except that it didn't look like scissors but more like a "T" shaped
handle. At least that's my guess...
