To me it looks like somebody is storing a pair of scissors right in front of the shifter-
what's up with that...?! [:'(]
It's the release lever that takes the shifter out of "ratchet" mode. I had a B&M Star
shifter....same deal except that it didn't look like scissors but more like a "T" shaped
handle. At least that's my guess...

I think you're probably right about that- but to me it's BUTT UGLY,
and the stock shifter looks waaaay better!

i fully back up my early statement with the looks of this shifter, my friends dad has a '77 Olds Cutlass Salon with a 4spd that has a Mr Gasket Gated style shifter that looks very similar, very retro and damn cool

they need to lose the TCI emblem on the top of it and change to a t instead of what looks like scissors, but its cool looking, just needs further tweaking before Id buy one.

A button on the side instead of that scissor thing, and an option for a black handle...and I'd pay $350 for one.

Just called TCI and spoke to Andre in sales. He stated that this product is due to release the first week in February. He also said to expect retail prices to be in the $480 range. Ouch!!
