Default HOOD's and paint?

I like some of the hood I am seeing here on the boards. I am not a huge fan or the regular GT hood so I might be looking to get a new hood BUT the paint is the problem. Those of you who bought their hood's were did you get it painted and how much was it? I would love to buy a hood that is already painted to save the trouble.
P.S. Is the hood scoop on the Gt apperance package functional?

No. the GT hood is not functional...The only problem with having the hood painted from somewhere that you order it is the transit to your house and being damaged....Also the the hood needs to be fitted to your vehicle. If you buy the hood and paint it before you do some test fitting your asking for an expensive mess

Got my hood from Cervinis, and had it painted at my local Ford dealers body shop. It cost $450, and they blended in the fenders for a perfect match.

Where did you buy it from? So that black matches the black car perfectly?

Hood $400 to $600......Prep and Paint $500 to $800 Shipping for a hood that does not fit ..$125 from TF. A hood that fits the first time... priceless.Seriously I would buy one from a company that will stand behind all of their hoods. All the time. I would buy Cervinis. I did.Getting painted this week, should be backthis Fri.
