make sure you have the maf in correctly. if the air goes through it backwardsit wont work properly. there may be an arrow molded into it to show air flow direction. check anything around the filter and tube area that may have gotten bumped and unplugged.

thanks for your help guys. but i just took it off i didnt wanna mess anything up. im gonna go to apex motorsports tomorrow and try to get a tune for it. does anyone know how much they run for?? or which one i should get?

Mail order a tune from Brenspeed or Bamachips. I wouldn't get a dyno tune with just a CAI.

whats the difference between a dyno tune and an ordered tune?

You usually get a dyno tune when your all done modding your car or after a big upgrade like a super charger. A dyno tune the tune your car and mess with your air/fuel ratio to get every last hp and tq out of your car. A mail order tune if what i got for some minor mods now when i get a supercharger im going to get a dyno tune. Now i know im leaving some keys things out or forgot to mention somethings so everyone chime in and add to this.

i cant get the other tune atthe shop? its a mustang shop that sells all sorts of parts. i tried calling but they closed at 530.

Just go to brenspeed.com or bamachips.com and order either a sct or diablosport tuner with the tunes from them. Both are awsome. I went with bamachips because i like the tunes they do with the diablosport tuner where as brenspeed does really good tunes with the sct. Its w/e you want!

If you did indeed install everything correctly, then you were running too lean and it is a good thing you yanked the plug and put everything back. You can't believe something from someone that wants your money and will tell you anything to get it.

Make sure you connect all the cables right..

I got a check engine light when I connected the MAF sensor cable into the CAI but didnt "click" the red tab on the connector back in tight enough..(hope that makes sense..)

Other than that.. wait for that tune..

wait so are you saying i cant get one of those tunes like diablosport or sct at a mustang shop? sorry to keep asking questions, im new to mustangs.i drove an import before the stang.....
