Default Can someone please help with 2nd gear grinding

Only when I am shifting quickly, or hard does my 2nd gear grind as im entering the gear. I know that my clutch is all the way in and it never fails to grind.. Normal driving is fine, but who drives normal all the time? Is it the clutch or shifter or wha??? I hope its not a tranny I cant afford one of those right now.

If you're Shifting at WOT, there is some flexing from torque going on there. To be sure that's the problem try to take your foot out of the throttle a brief second B4 shifting and see if it stops the grinding sound. If it does sounds like you'll need Torque Limiters or aftermarket motor mounts.

I know it may not be applicable, but if you read the write up on shifting done the Ranger guy who drag races crovettes, he talks about this issue. He basically says that because our clutchs are hydrolic they are prone to the same issues brakes are. Spongy feel, soft pedal presure. They (clutches) use the same fluid our braking system uses. So he recommends changing the brake fluid (flushing) which helps the pedal feel, response of the clutch in relation to your foot and faster shifting.

If our brakes are running off the same sytem as out clutch and our brake fluis is old/contaminated, why not change it?

Am I way off? Hope not.
