If your military or DOD civilian most bases have bays w/lifts/tools you can rent for cheap...
+1, I've saved 2k in labor by doing it this way and I've only spent about $200-$300 in renting the bay/tools.

+1 on Woodbine. JJ does great work. I had him install my LCA's and panhard and while there he was working on a 07 GT500 and a 67-68 Shelby GT350 w/Paxton blower. He takes his time and works by appointment.

The place in Glen Burnie (North of Annapolis) is on Baltimore and Annapolis blvd Rt 648 in the Marley Community. Its called Self Service Automotive, or something close to that. Its right across from Marley Middle school. Go north on rte 2 (Ritchie Hwy) and make a right turn on Rt 648 (B&A Blvd), then go about 6 or 7 miles east on B&A. You will cross over Marley creek and once you top the hill start looking for the place on your left hand side of the road. They rent lift bay space and even tools. They also provide assistence. Or so the tv commercial claims.

Its located between Annapolis and Baltimore. The town is named Glen Burnie.

I've had all of my tuning and suspension done through him. He is great. He answers hisphone all the time. I've called him after10 on the weekend and he's picked up andhelped me out. Great guy to do business with. He always has sick cars and trucks sitting there. Basically he runs his garage out of his backyard. Last time I was there he was showing me a stock supercharger off of a GT 40. Apparantly some guy bought the car, had it towed to his shop to upgrade to a Whipple and left the blower because he had no use for it. It was pretty sweet.

I've probably passed that do it yourself bay place a few times and not noticed. Sounds like I'm really going to have to look up woodbine when I need to get some work done.

Thanks!

since this seems like a good place, can any of the MD guys post up good shops in MD to have any type of work done on their stangs, in the in Arbutus area (a southern suburb of baltimore) and i have no idea of any shops except where i got my tints done. But this could be a good reference thread.

Radient Tints
Washington Blvd
Elkridge, MD.
Really good tint job - 15% for $140 with a lifetime warranty.

A lot of us in the Baltimore area get work done at JPC in Glen Burnie. He only works on Mustangs and holds the record for N/A Mustangs 9.56 1/4. If you read any of the mags, you will find pictures of some of his cars in the drag racing articles.

Another MD boy here. JJ is a great guy and I highly recommend using him for anything you're not comfortable doing yourself. There are very few people I let work on my cars...matter of fact JJ is the only person other than me to do anything on my car. I had JJ install my torque converter a couple years ago cause i just didn't have time. He also dyno'd and tuned my car since he is an SCT dealer.
he also installs Spydershafts
