I'm picking up a 05 stang in the sping. It will have the stock 17 inch rims. I'm thinking of getting some nice chrome 18inchers. I'm just having a look around and there are SOOO many i have no idea what to look at. But i'm thinking 18inch is a nice size to go with. I just have some questions. I'm new at this stuff, and don't know a ton about wheels and rim sizes, this is also my first car. But are the tires on the mustangs the same size on the front and the back?? I was thinking of getting 18's all around, but some wider tires in the back. So what are the stock rims sizes for the 05 GT...17X9? I was thinking 18X9 in the front, and 18x10 in the back??Anyone have any good pics of their aftermarket rims? I'm looking to get a set for under 1000 bucks, not to sure what that will get me. you can get some wheels under a grand but putting tires on them will run ya atleast another400 to600 bones (or more) .....Do a search on wheels and you can see some different pics of the members rides.....Im looking for rims to so I need pics as well.....I ve just been checking out ppls sigs, the gallery and looking thru old posts...

stock rims are 17x8

stock tire height is about 27.2"

you can stagger the rims...18x9 front, 18x10 rear

stock tire sizes that are equivalent (same tire height as stock).....235/55/17, 255/50/17, 235/50/18, 255/45/18, 285/40/18

many people run 255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 rear....just like the GT500
