Default Best way to bypass clutch

I already hooked up a python 990 alarm r/s to my car. I used a 556sw ford pats bypass for the key chip bypass. I already bypassed my clutch by connecting the two wires together. I know their is a better way to wire it. I think I can hook up my starter wire to the negative clutch wire, so that way it only bypasses the clutch on r/s and not all the time like it does now. Any ideas

Default RE: Remote start bypass help

my alarm guy was stumped on this for a quite a long time...

because of the immobilizer, there is a special kit that will memorize your transponder code in your key, store it in memory, so when you remote start without the key, it will be able to

for my kit, a compustar, the programming "window" is only 15 seconds.
the time it takes you to shove in both factory keys and do the programming takes well over 40 seconds

my installer just resorted to tricking the alarm into thinking its an automatic

downside = have to make 110% percent my car is in neutral or im hooped

So any other ways to hook my r/s wire to the clutch wire..like maybe use a relay or something. I don't want some idiot mechanic to try and start my car with the clutch bypassed and have my car move on him. So any ideas, right now I just have the two clutch wires touching each other.

With the clutch interlock switch it's a tough one. A key fob operated switch in the clutch circuit would let you start it, but the car could still be in gear. One way I can think around this is to make a Neutral indicator, a (circuit closed when the stick is in neutral) and if I think of an easy way to rigthis I'll let you know.

Seen it happen to one of my friends fathers. One guy started the car and hit my friends dad with the car. Lots of suing and b/s with that because he got hurt. Just a bad idea.

I agree...manuals are not meant to be remote start for a reason.....is it really worth the effort in the end?

I just need to set up the clutch..not the neutral part of the car. I already have it bypassed, but now I can start my car without pushing the clutch in. I would prefer it if it only bypassed the clutch when I safely Remote Start it...which isn't that often since I live in Hot FL.

i think sleeper2 nailed it.....the best way to
do this, is to do it right and that would include
a neutral indicator, tied into the clutch
pedal position circuit.
