Cool! glad it went smooth. That hood looks like it will vent the compartment well!

Big thanks to Stoenr for helping me with placement. I had an idea that they mounted in that rad support hole, but thanks for assuring me.

This forum rocks for bouncing ideas off people and getting pointed (mostly) in the right direction. I may just have to become a "contributor" .

Yeah the hood is definitely functional. I thought that it would eventually cause my engine to get dirty but it hasn't! I give it a good washing once a month no problem.

You can see the heat rising out of it, very cool effect.

Can these hood pins work with the factory hood?

SURE they can! You'll just have to remove the part of the hood heat shield. I've seen folks just bend it back to install.

So the little screws and thingys that the screws attach to under the hood are the correct length?

My shelby ones didn't come with instructions either. The billet kit was a pain in the *** to install. Took me more than 2 hours. lol

You can use them on a stock hood. Problem is, its 2 layers of metal. So its hard to make the perfect hole on the first shot. I had to keep enlarging. Heres a crappy pic of mine. My camera does not like low light situations.

That is what I was worried about.
