For those of you with that dreaded gear/bearing noise issue. Just got my car back today. After 2 sets of gears over as many years and multiple fluids, finally a swap to a Detroit TruTrac and a new set of bearings and 3.73'sand.....DEAD SILENCE!

Ah, the sound of silence. So FYI, it must have been the diff bearings or the crappy stock diff itself. P.S. the same shop did all 3 gear changes, so it wasn't the install.

Also took out the front Steeda springs replaced them with Roush's too, tomatch the rear, slightly softer ride and less harsh over bumps .

Also had a 2800 T/C installed too. Definitelyneed to get used to the feeling now, haven't decided if I'm a big fan yet.

Also tried the 3.4" pulley. Fuel pump could NOT handle it. Swapped back the 3.6" until I decide on the type of fuel upgrade. Another spring project I guess.

Just sorry it's time to put her away for the winter.

Sounds like fun----sounds like time for dual gt pumps.

You'll get used to the TQ conv. eventually. I had one car with a 3k stall--sucked driving in town, but launched like a ****.
